UALC 2004 Retreat

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is all the discussion about painting shoes?

A. The shoe painting project is a tactile tool for self expression; in an effort to stimulate creative thoughts, enlightening discussion, and ‘out of the box’ ideas, we will be engaging in a shoe painting project at the UALC Fall Retreat. Bring some old shoes, buy some end-of-the summer, clearance rack tacky flip-flops, bring paints, feathers, beads, glitter; (we will have basic painting supplies on hand). Create a work of [librarian-wearing footwear] art!

Q. Is my UALC committee holding a committee meeting at the Retreat?

A. If you’re not sure of the answer to this question, get in touch with the Chair of the UALC Committee you serve on to determine whether or not your group is holding a regular meeting in addition to the Retreat activities; (several of the Committees are meeting Thursday afternoon).

Q. What else is there to do in Springdale?

A. The Zion Park Inn is only 1.5 miles from Zion National Park! If you have never visited this park, plan to take a detour to/through the Park on your way home; (there are many beautiful sites to see there).
